Krista McClean is a vibrant and passionate theatre performer based in Southern California, whose love for the stage ignited at the young age of six. Over the years, Krista has grown into a versatile artist, captivating audiences with her powerful performances in roles such as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, and Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. Her dedication to her craft is evident in every role she takes on, bringing each character to life with depth and authenticity.

A pivotal part of Krista’s artistic journey has been her studies with Hilary Maiberger, a renowned vocal coach and expert in The Somatic Voicework™ Teachers method. Hilary's exceptional teaching skills are complemented by her experience as the longest-running Belle in the National and International Tour of Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast. Her expertise, both as a performer and a coach, has been instrumental in guiding my growth as a theatre artist. Under Hilary’s guidance, Krista has experienced remarkable growth in her craft, honing the skills and techniques necessary to portray authentic and compelling characters on stage.

Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as an adult, Krista has found theatre to be a powerful outlet for expression and connection. She aligns herself with organizations like Autism Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) and Autistics For Autistics (A4A) and encourages others to learn more. Her unique journey has inspired her to advocate for greater neurodivergent representation in the arts, striving to create a more inclusive space where diverse voices are celebrated. Krista’s commitment to her craft and her advocacy for inclusivity make her a standout figure in the theatre community.

Testimonials

I met Krista and have been working with her for a couple of years now. When she opened her mouth to sing, she stole my heart. She sings with such grace and purity, and her demand of an audience is captivating and magnetic. It has been an absolute dream working with this incredibly hard-working, kind, and talented human being.

What a pleasure it was to work with Krista McClean! So talented and so hard-working! While doing Legally Blonde with her, I remember our Elle Woods couldn’t be there for some rehearsals. Krista, the Elle understudy, already knew all of the blocking and lines and executed them flawlessly. From helping our Elle with all of her quick changes to filling in for this beast of a role at a moment’s notice, Krista is the real deal!
— Johnny Fletcher (Singer, Actor, Dancer)

I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of working with Krista McClean on a few productions – my favorite being Legally Blonde when she was my Elle Woods U/S. Her hard work and dedication showed every day! Krista always had a positive attitude and was eager to help with anything. Her ability to ease into a role and be so natural on stage is a real talent. Krista is a terrific lady and performer, and I hope work with her again in the future!
